Poland is a country situated in Central Europe. It covers more that 320 thousands square kilometers and has population of over 38 million people. Poland'sofficial language is Polish. The climate is moderate there, which means that summers are usually hot and sunny, winters cold and springs and autumns quitemild. While the north of Poland has an access to the sea, the south of Poland is dominated bythe mountains. The Tatra Mountains are perfect for winter sports andhiking, so they attract a lot of tourists and climbers from all over the Europe. The Baltic Sea, on the other hand, is known for its healthy climate, sandy beaches and popular holiday resorts. Poland belongs to the European Union and hasa great economic potential. There are many universities and academies which offer the highest level of education. Polish culture and art have a long history and are distinguishable abroad. Although Poland is highly developed and influenced by contemporary trends, it also retains its own unique tradition.
Olsztyn is located in the north-east part of Poland in the region known as the "Thousand Lakes". There are 15 lakes inside administrative bounds of the city (13 with an area greater than 1 ha) offering a lot to all those who appreciate the value of (active or passive) holiday by the water. Other attractions include: the Old Town situated on the Lyna’s bend, a planetarium, an astronomical observatory in a 19th century water tower, a philharmonic, and a park in the area of urban forest (the largest forest in an urban area in Europe) with a forest stadium dating from the 1920-ties.
There is a bus network with 33 bus lines, including 6 suburban lines, 2 night-time lines and 1 line tram. Olsztyn has train and bus connections to the biggest cities in Poland like: Warsaw, Gdansk, Szczecin, Poznan or Bydgoszcz.

All shooting competitions will be held in the city sport hall located in the center of Olsztyn. It features a sports hall with dimensions of 30m x 18m and audience for about 300 spectators . In each competition at World Championship there will be 15 firing points with electronic target systems. On site there is are also fully equipped changing rooms and a storage room where it will be possible to store sports equipment free of charge.

Medical classification will take place from 7th till 9th of November. Athletes with status "New" or "Review 2016" are obligated to take part in the classification. Full schedule of classification with names of athletes and dates will be published no later than a month before start of the World Championships. To take part in the medical classification it is necessary to have filled up MDF (Medical Diagnostic Form).

Classification will take place in LENS Centre for Eye Diagnostics and Microsurgery. Local Organizing Committee will provide transportation from hotel to clinic.


Transport on Route Warsaw - Olsztyn - Warsaw
Warsaw is the capitol of Poland. It is located approximately 220 kilometers from Olsztyn. It offers most good direct plane or train connection with all the world. Organizing Committee provides transportation from Central Train Station and both Warsaw Airports: Warsaw Chopin Airport and Modlin Airport. Total cost for transportation on route Warsaw – Olsztyn – Warsaw is 150 euro per team.

Local Organizing Committee can also provide transportation from different city located in Poland. Due to different distances and options price will be estimated after getting an information from the participating team.

Local Organizing Committee will provide free transportation from Olsztyn central train station to official hotel and transportation from hotel to the clinic where will be held medical classification.

Registration for event will close on 30th of September 2016. Registration documents will be available on Organizing Committee and IBSA Website. Files needs to be sent directly to the organizers.
